My hometown is Philadelphia too. I work in Kensington. Near where they want one of these sites. This will be become even more of a drug Mecca than it is now. You kindly assume these addicts will play nice and follow the rules. Not for many as they are not most disciplined population. Crime of course will increase with the larger number of addicts that come there and yay there will be plenty more dealers coming in to meet their needs and hopefully hook more kids in. I want them to get help. I really do-it’s sad.

But not at the expense of my hometown city, neighborhood and schools. When does the community come first? Do u have to be in crisis or high to get support? Care? What about housing? Day care, elder care? Money better spent on these things will be funneled on the addicts who trash the city and their families lives -if they get the “safe-injection” ( as if there is really such a thing) I’m afraid things will get much worse- if that’s even possible there. I see it daily

But Hey I heard the Main Line is a quiet peaceful place-why don’t they start with one up there to see how it goes?

Best wishes on your ongoing recovery.
