Those people are mostly gone, so historians who have studied it, are worth listening to.

I also need quiet. And yes, I also need meditation.

Your writing, and insights, are great, per usual! The photo appears pornographic. I'm sure it wasn't your intention.

I lived in Ocean City, near the beach, when I was younger. I still try to get to the beach there, in the summer. It will be easier now, that the crowds will be gone. Driving past all the nationalist American flags on West St is quite disturbing, though. When I lived there, OC was somewhat segregated, but at least there were people of colour, there. Now, I see none. And all the homes along West St look alike, no sense of history to it anymore.

I find it amusing that you think people who you don't know at all (and you're unwilling to explore the complexity of their beliefs) flying flags are worse than actual segregation. It's you who have no sense of history anymore.

It's not just me that worries about it., and if it's what it appears to be, it's very far from harmless. Salon.com, CHAUNCEY DEVEGA, Senior Writer: "To normalize.... American neofascism by accepting it as the new status quo , and reporting on it through the lens of.... 'bothsidesism' ... is to almost guarantee that it will gain a permanent foothold in American society."

Sorry, but this is not a political newsletter. Still, before you finger anyone as fascist, please have a conversation with someone who lived in mid-20th Century Europe. They'll set you straight about what fascism is.
